    SHOOTING is a tragic and bittersweet story about my mother, who introduced me to photography at a young age, only to be shot to death by a mentally ill man a few years later. Because of the trauma of the shooting, I walked away from photography for forty years, during which time the impacts of the trauma of the shooting wreaked havoc on my life. After rediscovering photography, my life was changed dramatically.

    SECOND LOOK is a book that shows what can happen with a second chance. The black-and-white photographs that make up SECOND LOOK are filled with emotion -- whether it is joy, sadness, boredom, confusion, contemplation, despair, hurt, fatigue, or anticipation. These emotions bind us together as humans regardless of our race or ethnicity.

  • Real Cuba

    REAL CUBA is a memorable collection of emotional black-and-white photographs that authentically depicts life in Cuba. The subjects were never coached or positioned to create a moment that appears to be remarkably candid, but in fact isn't candid. Rather, this is a collection of photographs illustrating that life in Cuba doesn't need to be posed or contrived, it simply needs to be seen and appreciated.

  • Chicago Avenue

    In 1883 Mark Twain said "it is hopeless for the occasional visitor to try and keep up with Chicago; she outgrows his prophecies faster than he can make them." In this engaging photo documentary of Chicago Avenue, stirring b&w photographs along the avenue show that it is filled with faces, some painted on walls, and some that will be painted forever in your mind.
